Tinuy-an Falls, located at Barangay Burboanan, Bislig, Davao del Sur, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Philippines. This multi-tiered waterfall is known as the widest waterfall in the country, thus earning its rightful name as the "Little Niagara Falls" of the Philippines. According to Wikipedia, the name Tinuy-an came from the word Tinuyo-an, a Cebuano word that means "intentional act or peformance to attain an objective or goal."
